SPORTS INJURIES
Sports injuries can occur if there is an imbalance in the muscles being used to play a particular sport. The injury may heal, but the scar tissue that forms as a result of the inflammation process can lead to re-injury and loss of flexibility in the affected region. An injury can also be sustained if there is a traumatic event that precedes it; such as a fracture or contusion (bruise). Chiropractic adjustments and soft tissue mobilization techniques (e.g.: massage, re-habilitation, exercises) are the best ways to restore function/motion and return the athlete back to pre-injury capacity.
